Frequently asked questions

How do I convert a PDF to Word?

Choose your PDF and tap Convert to Word. When it's ready, download the DOCX file and open it in Word, Google Docs or any office app.

Will the layout stay the same?

Yes. Each page keeps its look: text, images and positions. Text is placed in boxes to match the original, so heavy rewriting is easier in a document created in Word.

Is my file safe?

Your PDF is uploaded over an encrypted connection, converted and deleted right away. We don't keep copies or look at the content.

Can I convert a scanned PDF to Word?

A scan is a picture of text, so the Word file will contain images rather than editable text. To get the text, use Image to Text (OCR) on the pages.

Is there a file size limit?

PDFs up to 50 MB work. Password-protected PDFs can't be converted, so remove the password first.

Is PDF to Word free?

Yes, completely free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
