Remove EXIF & Photo Metadata

Remove the hidden location and camera data from your photos.

Private: your files never leave your device.

or drop them here

Photos can hide your location, phone model and the date they were taken. This removes all of it without changing the picture.

    How it works

    1. Choose your files.
    2. Adjust the settings if you like.
    3. Download the result, or send it to another device with Bridge.

    Frequently asked questions

What is EXIF data in a photo?

Hidden information stored inside a photo: often the GPS location where it was taken, the phone or camera model, the date and time, and the editing software.

    Why should I remove it?

If you share a photo by email, chat or a download link, people may see exactly where it was taken, such as your home. Removing it keeps that private.

    Does removing metadata reduce quality?

No. Bridge removes only the hidden data and leaves the picture exactly the same, without re-compressing it.

    Will my photo turn sideways?

No. Bridge keeps the one setting that tells apps which way up the photo is, and removes everything else.

    Which files work?

JPG, PNG and WebP. For iPhone HEIC photos, use Convert HEIC to JPG first; the converted photo has no metadata.

    Are my photos uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.
