About Bridge
Bridge makes everyday file jobs simple: moving files between your devices, and fixing PDFs, photos and videos. It's free, it works in your browser, and it speaks your language.
Why we built it
Most of us own devices from different companies: an iPhone and a Windows laptop, an Android phone and a Mac. The tools built into them stop at those borders, so people email files to themselves, send photos through chat apps that shrink them, or hunt for a cable. Bridge fixes that with one QR code, on any device.
The same goes for small file jobs. Merging two PDFs or shrinking a photo for a form shouldn't mean uploading private documents to a stranger's server, so most Bridge tools run on your own device. The few that need a server, like converting Word or PowerPoint files and removing backgrounds, delete your file the moment the result is ready.
What we stand for
- Free for everyone. No sign-up, no account, no watermark on your files.
- Private by design. Most tools process files in your browser, and transfers go directly between your devices whenever possible. Tools that need our server delete your file right after converting it. Nothing is kept.
- Works everywhere. Any phone or computer with a modern browser, in 15 languages.
- Honest about limits. When something can't be done privately, or a relay server is needed, we say so.
How your privacy is protected
Files you send are encrypted in transit and aren't kept on our server. Files you open in most tools never leave your device at all; each tool page says clearly when a file is uploaded for conversion. Read the full details in our privacy page.
