How do I remove the background from a photo?
Choose your photo and tap Remove background. In a few seconds, you'll see the result next to the original, ready to download.
Can I get a white background instead of transparent?
Yes. Before downloading, choose White or any other colour as the new background. Transparent gives a PNG you can place on anything.
Which photos work best?
Photos with a clear subject, like a person, product, pet or car, that stands out from the background. Very busy backgrounds or subjects that blend in may need a cleaner photo.
Is my photo safe?
Your photo is uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed and deleted right away. We don't keep copies or look at it.
Which files and sizes work?
JPG, PNG and WebP images up to 15 MB.
Can I use it for passport or ID photos?
Yes. Remove the background and choose White, then use Passport Photo Maker or ID Photo Resizer to crop to the right size. Check your country's rules first.
