Text & Code Diff Checker

Paste two versions and see exactly what changed.

Private: your files never leave your device.

Works with any text: code, JSON, config files, documents and lists. Everything is compared on your device; nothing you paste is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Choose your files.
  2. Adjust the settings if you like.
  3. Download the result, or send it to another device with BroAllDone.

Frequently asked questions

How do I compare two texts?

Paste the original on the left and the changed version on the right, or open two files. The differences show at once: removed lines in red, added lines in green, and changed words highlighted inside the lines.

Can I compare code and JSON?

Yes. It compares any text line by line, like git, and works well for code, configuration files and logs. For JSON, tick Compare as JSON so key order and spacing don't count.

Can I ignore spaces and upper or lower case?

Yes. You can ignore spaces at line ends, changes in the amount of space or all spaces, upper and lower case, and Windows or Unix line endings.

How do I find each change quickly?

Use Next change and Previous change, or Alt with the down and up arrows. Unchanged lines around the changes are hidden, and you can show them with one click.

Can I save the differences as a patch?

Yes. Copy as patch or Download .diff gives a unified diff, the same format as git diff, that you can share or apply.

Is my text uploaded?

No. Everything is compared in your browser, even files with hundreds of thousands of lines, so your code and documents stay private.
