How do I format JSON?
Paste your JSON or open a .json file, then tap Format JSON. Choose 2 spaces, 4 spaces or tabs, and copy or download the result.
How do I find the mistake in my JSON?
It is checked as you type. If something is wrong you see the line and column and what to fix, like a missing comma or a comma before a closing bracket. Tap Show me to jump to the spot.
Can it minify JSON?
Yes. Tap Minify to remove all spaces and line breaks, which makes the JSON as small as possible for APIs and config files.
Will formatting change my data?
No. Numbers and text are kept exactly as written, even very large numbers like IDs that many formatters round, and keys that appear twice. Only spaces and line breaks change, unless you choose Sort keys A–Z.
Can I format big JSON files?
Yes. Files up to 50 MB work; a few megabytes are formatted in under a second.
Is my JSON uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so API keys, tokens and private data you paste never leave your device.
