Frequently asked questions

How do I convert CSV to JSON?

Paste your CSV or open a .csv file and tap Convert to JSON. The delimiter is detected for you, and a table preview shows how the file was read.

Does it work with Excel exports?

Yes. Comma, semicolon, tab and pipe files all work, including quoted fields that contain commas, quotes or line breaks.

Are numbers and true/false detected?

Yes, if you like. 42, 3.5, true, false and null become real JSON values, written exactly as in the file. Values like 007 or phone numbers stay text, so nothing is lost.

Can I get nested JSON?

Yes. Turn on Nest keys with dots and columns like user.name and user.email become one user object.

Which JSON formats can I get?

An array of objects (using the header row), an array of arrays, or JSON Lines with one object per line, which is handy for big data and logs.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so your data never leaves your device.
