Frequently asked questions

How do I turn a text file into a PDF?

Open the .txt file or paste your text, choose the paper, font and size, then press Make PDF.

Does it work with my language?

Yes. Latin, Greek and Cyrillic text, including Vietnamese and Turkish, is written as real text you can select. Arabic, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and emoji are drawn by your browser as sharp images, so they always look right.

Can I add line numbers or page numbers?

Yes. Tick Line numbers for code or logs, and Page numbers to number each page at the bottom.

What happens to long lines?

They wrap neatly at the margin, and words too long for a line are split. Tabs are lined up, and a form feed in the file starts a new page.

Which files can I open?

Any plain text file, such as .txt, .md, .csv, .log, .json or code. UTF-8, UTF-16 and older Windows encodings are recognised.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. The PDF is made in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.
