    Frequently asked questions

How do I compress a photo to 50 KB or any size?

Choose your photo, type the target size or tap a common one like 50 KB, then download the result. It always ends up at or under the size you set.

    Will the photo lose quality?

Bridge first keeps the full picture size and finds the highest quality that fits. Only if that isn't enough does it make the picture smaller, and it tells you when it does.

Why can't it reach my target size?

Very small targets, like 10 KB for a large detailed photo, may be impossible without making the picture tiny. The result shows the smallest size it could reach.

Should I choose JPG or WebP?

JPG is accepted by almost every form and website. WebP is smaller, but some older forms don't accept it.

Is it good for exam and job application forms?

Yes. Many forms ask for photos under 20, 50 or 100 KB, so just tap that size. If the form also asks for exact dimensions, use Passport Photo Maker or ID Photo Resizer first.

    Are my photos uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.
