Frequently asked questions

How do I crop an image?

Open the picture, drag the box or its handles to choose the part you want, then press Download. You can also type the exact position and size in pixels.

What size should a picture be for Instagram, YouTube or LinkedIn?

Choose the network under Social media and web sizes: the box takes the right shape and the image is saved at the exact size, for example 1080 × 1350 for an Instagram portrait or 1280 × 720 for a YouTube thumbnail.

Can I crop a round profile picture?

Yes. Choose Circle under Shape, or a profile picture size. The image is saved as a PNG with transparent corners, ready for any profile.

Can I straighten or rotate a photo?

Yes. Turn it by quarter turns, flip it, or straighten it degree by degree; the picture zooms in just enough that no empty corners appear.

What does Find the subject do?

It moves the box to the most detailed part of the picture, which is usually the subject, so you only need small adjustments.

Is my picture uploaded?

No. Cropping happens in your browser. The saved file is new, so location and camera details aren't included.
