Frequently asked questions

How do I URL-encode text?

Paste your text and tap Encode. Spaces, accents, emoji and symbols become %-codes like %20, so the text is safe in a link.

Should I encode everything or keep the link structure?

Choose Everything for a single value, like a search term in a query. Choose Keep the link structure for a whole URL, so its : / ? & and = stay as they are.

What does Spaces as + do?

Web forms send spaces as + instead of %20. Turn it on to encode or decode that way.

How do I decode a URL?

Paste it and tap Decode. If a %-code is broken, you see where it is and Show me jumps there.

Can it show the parts of a link?

Yes. When the text is a full URL, you see its protocol, host, path and every query parameter decoded in a table.

Is my text uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so your links never leave your device.
