Frequently asked questions

What is PDF metadata?

Hidden details saved inside a PDF: its title, author, subject, keywords, the app that made it and the dates it was created and changed.

How do I change a PDF's title or author?

Choose your PDF, edit the fields you want and tap Save PDF. Empty fields are removed from the file.

Why does the title matter?

PDF readers and browsers show it in the window title, and search engines use it for PDFs on the web. A clear title looks more professional than a file name.

Can I remove all metadata?

Yes. Tick Remove all metadata instead and save. This removes the hidden details, including the XMP data some apps add.

Does it change the pages?

No. Only the details are changed: pages, text and images stay exactly the same.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so your PDF never leaves your device.
