Frequently asked questions
How do I compress many images at once?
Choose or drop as many images as you like, or a whole folder. They are compressed straight away, several at a time, and Download all gives you a ZIP.
How much smaller do images get?
Photos usually shrink by 50–80% with no visible difference. PNG screenshots and graphics often shrink by 60–80% too, thanks to smart colour reduction. Each image shows its own saving.
Will my images lose quality?
Balanced keeps them looking the same at normal size. Use Compare to check any image with a slider, at 100% zoom if you like. Best quality compresses less; Smallest files compresses more.
Can I convert images to WebP or AVIF?
Yes. Choose WebP, AVIF (where your browser can save it), JPG or PNG under Save as, or Whichever is smallest to get the smallest file for each image.
Can I make every image fit a size limit?
Yes. Set a size limit per image under More options, and each one gets the best quality that fits. You can also set a maximum width and height.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Everything is done in your browser, so your photos never leave your device. Location and camera details are removed from the compressed files.
